A 45-year-old Millsboro woman was arrested June 11 for allegedly failing to return a laptop to the Georgetown Rent-A-Center after she had stopped making payments on the device.
According to the Georgetown Police Department, Arlene Belfield was wanted on an outstanding warrant from May, when it is alleged she entered into a rent-to-own contract with Rent-A-Center and failed to pay rent on the item. Police said after making six payments, Belfield allegedly stopped sending money and never returned the laptop.
Belfield was charged with theft of rental property. She was released on unsecured bond with a future court date.
