A 62-year-old Georgetown man was arrested on June 10 for allegedly stealing and forging a check from an 87-year-old male victim.
According to the Georgetown Police Department, the stolen check was reported to police in April. Police said Dennis R. Johnson had contact with the victim in April and video surveillance showed him allegedly cashing the check at the M&T Bank in Georgetown.
Johnson was charged with felony theft and forgery. He was released on an unsecured bond with a future court date.
