  • Three Lebanon, Pa. men were arrested June 27 following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 113 in Georgetown.
According to the Georgetown Police Department, a broadcast was put out by dispatch that the subjects in a vehicle traveling on northbound U.S. Route 113 were reportedly smoking illegal narcotics. Police said the vehicle was observed by a patrolman on U.S. Route 113 in the area of N. Bedford Street. Police said as the patrolman attempted to catch up to the vehicle, the operator, 20-year-old Jordan Vasquez, made an abrupt lane change in front of another vehicle. Police said a traffic stop was initiated and officers could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Police said a subsequent search was performed on the vehicle and the officers located about 64 grams of suspected marijuana, several pipes allegedly used to smoke marijuana, and digital scales. Kenneth Hernley, 18, and Mykola Keener, 20, were passengers in the vehicle and police said some of the suspected marijuana and paraphernalia belonged to them.
Police said all three were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released on an unsecured bond with a future court date.
