The 41st annual Camp Barnes Benefit Stock Car Race will be held on July 9.

The 41st annual Camp Barnes Benefit Stock Car Race will be held on July 9.

Gates will open at 4 p.m. with racing beginning at 7 p.m. at the Delaware International Speedway, US 13, north of the Delaware/Maryland line. This year's event will feature competitors from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. They will compete for prize money worth more than $35,000.

Several activities and vendors will be on display including, monster truck rides, a silent auction, an RC car demonstration, and a watermelon sampling. Local drivers and cars will be on hand from 4 to 6 p.m. for an autograph session. In addition, local band Front Page News will be playing live from 5 to 7 p.m.

Spectator's tickets are $17 and pit tickets are $27. Children under 13 accompanied by a parent or guardian are admitted free to spectator seating.

In the event of rain, the event will be held on July 10.
