  • A 31-year-old Federalsburg, Md. man is wanted by police for allegedly forging a 74-year-old man’s checks at grocery stores in Bridgeville and Seaford.
According to the Delaware State Police, the victim reported the checks stolen from his Federalsburg home on June 19. The victim told police the checks had been used at the Food Lions in Bridgeville and Seaford. Police said an investigation revealed the victim’s grandson, Frederick F. Kirsch III, and granddaughter, 23-year-old Brittany A. Moore of Blades, had cashed six checks totaling more than $300 by signing the victim’s name. Police said Moore was arrested on July 1 and charged with six counts each of identity theft, theft under $1,500 where the victim is over 62 and second degree forgery. Moore is incarcerated at the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $6,000 cash bail. Kirsch is facing the same charges.
