Anthony Padula, of Georgetown, DE, formerly of Canterbury, NH passed away on July 8, 2013. Anthony and his family moved from New Jersey to New Hampshire in August 1977. In 1978 he started Padula Excavating. Anthony was a volunteer and former Captain of the Canterbury Fire Department for many years. He truly loved the small rural community of Canterbury and it was not uncommon to see his excavating equipment throughout the town. In 2000 upon his retirement he turned the reins over to his son Mark and the business continues to thrive thru this date.
Anthony and Diana moved to Delaware in 2000 where he built their home with bricks and granite from NH staying close to his Canterbury roots. He enjoyed hunting with this son, riding his motorcycle and cultivating his deer field and gardens. Tony loved his faithful dogs Buddy and Zoey and his cat, Tinkerbell.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Diana; daughter Lisa Dickerson of Riverdale, NJ; Linda Demeo of Manchester, NH and Mark Padula of Belmont, NH. He had four grandchildren that he loved dearly.
In lieu of remembrances the family asks that you please just share the love Tony had with your friends, family and kindness to all.
