  • Police are seeking a man who allegedly stole a firearm July 10 from a Lewes gun shop.
    According to the Delaware State Police, the incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. when a white male between the ages of 55 and 65 entered Steel’s Gun Shop on Lewes-Georgetown Highway and asked for a part to a gun. Police said while the store owner left to assist the suspect, he removed a .45 caliber handgun off the counter and placed it in the waistband of his shorts before leaving the store.
    Police said the man was wearing a Hawaiian style shirt, blue shorts and a white baseball cap. Police said he may go by the name Michael and may be driving an older style van with handicapped tags or a placard.
