  • The State Office of Volunteerism is seeking nominations for the Governor's Outstanding Volunteer Service Awards.
    The awards, which will be presented on Oct. 22, honor individuals, organizations, community groups and corporate volunteerism in Delaware in the areas of arts and culture, education, community service, environment, health, human needs and social justice. The Paul Wilkinson Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to a person who has had a longtime commitment to volunteerism.
    To be nominated, volunteers must be ages 18 or older and volunteer efforts must have been performed in 2012. To submit a nomination, a nomination form may be emailed to carrie.hart@state.de.us or mailed to the Office of Volunteerism, Attn: Governor's Volunteer Service Awards, 805 River Road, Dover, DE 19901.
