A 65-year-old Georgetown man injured in a July 27 motorcycle crash in Seaford has died as a result of his injuries.
According to the Delaware State Police, Joseph E. Thomas died the morning of Aug. 18 at Delaware Hospice in Milford. Thomas suffered a serious head injury July 27. Police said he was operating a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle north on Concord Pond Road around 10:40 a.m. when, for an undetermined reason, the motorcycle left the east side of the roadway and drove into a ditch. Police said Thomas, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and landed with his head striking a roadside utility box. He was initially transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital before being flown to Christiana Hospital.
