Farmers interested in learning more about protecting commodities revenue and keeping cash flow constant can attend a risk management workshop Aug. 27 in Georgetown.
The event will feature Cliff Parker, formerly of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency, speaking about crop insurance options, as well as Dave Goeller of the University of Nebraska, addressing farm financial issues, including succession planting. Other topics may include grain marketing, proper record keeping and compliance.
The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Carvel Research and Education Center, located at 16483 County Seat Highway. Attendees should register in advance to make sure enough materials are available by call 1-877-673-2767.
