Jefferson School will host Story Pirates Sail into Town on Nov. 9.

Doors open at 2 p.m. with the show starting at 3 p.m. at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, 229 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

Story Pirates will sing, dance, and improv their way through adventures written by local students. Several well-known comedians and comedy writers, including Jon Stewart, John Oliver, and Kristen Schaal (The Daily Show) have collaborated with the Story Pirates and have taken part in their unique shows.

“The children are the ones contributing to the stories, and this gives students not only ownership of what they're doing but a tremendous amount of pride when they see their stories come to life,” said Nicholas Benz, The Jefferson School Board Chairperson.

Story Pirates is a nationally recognized, non-profit arts and literacy organization working to engage students by showing them that their ideas, their words, and their stories are important.

    Tickets are $25.
