  • The Delaware Department of Transportation will be holding two public workshops and hearings to obtain comments from surrounding businesses and the general public for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Route 113 North/South Study – Millsboro-South Area.
The workshops will be held Sept. 18 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Millsboro Civic Center, located at 322 Wilson Highway in Millsboro, and Sept. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Selbyville Fire Hall, located at 30 N. Main Street in Selbyville.
According to DelDOT, the purpose of the study is to establish a continuous limited access facility to address the severe traffic congestion in this study area, particularly during the summer. All build alternatives in the DEIS also include bypass alternatives for Del. Route 24 in Millsboro and Del. Route 26 in Dagsboro. The DEIS is a federally-required document that examines the impacts of proposed transportation projects to be built with federal funds.
The DEIS is available to view and download at www.deldot.gov/information/projects/us113. Interested persons may request a free CD of the DEIS by calling DelDOT Public Relations at (302) 760-2080. A hard copy of the document can be viewed at Millsboro Town Hall, Millsboro Public Library, Dagsboro Town Hall, Frankford Town Hall, Frankford Public Library, Selbyville Town Hall and Selbyville Public Library. Public comment will be taken through Oct. 4.
