Jack’s Abby Brewing made an announcement today that will get those who visit the brewery very excited – they have taken the first step to be able to sell pints of beer in their tasting room.
On Tuesday, the Framingham Board of Selectmen approved Jack’s Abby’s Farmer Series Pouring permit, which will allow them to serve 16 ounce or less pours of beer in the tasting room.
However, that’s not the last step. The brewery still needs to get state approval, and then make some changes in the tasting room, but if all goes well, you may be able to get a nice pint of Smoke & Dagger come this fall. I can’t wait.
The Wormtown Brewery has also made a big move – they have just canned their fantastic IPA, Be Hoppy.
The Be Hoppy is available in four packs of 16 ounce cans. It is only a 60 case trial run, only available at the brewery in Worcester.
I don’t care if a beer is in cans or bottles, but what I do like is the four pack of 16 ounce can option. A 16-ounce can or bottle is my favorite beer serving size, and I’d like the option of buying four at a reasonable price than buying multiple bombers. I hope they keep the cans.
