Kody's Kid Inc., a Sussex County-based charity that works with babies and children at risk, received a donation of 18,000 diapers from the "Lunch With A Purpose" group. The group consists of more than 200 local women that meet each month to have lunch at a local restaurant and raise awareness and funds for Sussex County charities.
At the last luncheon, each person was asked to bring disposable diapers for the Kody's Kids Diaper Program.
Charity founder, Philip Brown, said he was amazed by the generosity of the group. "Everybody was coming up the pathway to the Baywood Restaurant carrying, packs, boxes and bags of diapers, it was so heartwarming to see," said Brown. "We give many thanks to the group leader, Cheryl Mitchell and all of those that attended."
