The Delaware State Police is conducting an investigation into the stabbing death of a 53-year-old Dagsboro man found Sept. 23 in his Power Plant Road home.
Police were called to the home shortly before 6 p.m. for a report of a subject that had been stabbed. Upon arriving at the house, police said they found Harold H. Medes III, who had wounds in his upper torso. Police said Medes was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said an autopsy was conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the manner of death was ruled to be a homicide.
The investigation is active and ongoing as troopers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death, as well as conduct interviews and gather evidence.
