Rep. Ruth Briggs King, R-Georgetown, has scheduled two Meet and Greet sessions with constituents on Oct. 9.
The first session is from 8 to 9 a.m. at Georgetown Family Restaurant at 115 E. Market Street in Georgetown. The second session is from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Indian River Fire Hall at 32628 Oak Orchard Road in Millsboro.
Briggs King invites residents of the 37th District, which includes Georgetown and the Long Neck area, to stop by to ask questions and share any concerns regarding the district or state government.
The meeting at the fire hall is being held to discuss constituents’ drainage and flooding concerns in the Oak Orchard/Long Neck area. Officials from the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and the Delaware Department of Transportation will be on hand to answer the public’s questions. A discussion on tax ditches – including what they are, how they are designated and what to do if you live in the area of one – will also be part of this meeting.
