The Georgetown Fire Company will host a firefighter vehicle rescue extrication challenge Oct. 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 16 Mile Brewery, located at 413 S. Bedford Street in Georgetown.

The Georgetown Fire Company will host a firefighter vehicle rescue extrication challenge Oct. 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 16 Mile Brewery, located at 413 S. Bedford Street in Georgetown.

Eight Sussex County fire companies have signed up for the competition and have each paid $350, which benefits the Delaware Burn Camp, a free program for children between the ages of six and 18 that have sustained serious burn injury.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend the event.
