Dover Police arrested two persons, included a wanted fugitive, Saturday after stopping a car for a traffic violation.
The incident took place at 12:10 a.m. Oct. 5, on Lafferty Lane, east of Bay Road, said police spokesman Lt. Daniel McKeown.
An investigation revealed the car's occupants, identified as Stefon Miller, 22, of Lincoln and Nakia Campbell, 22, of the 300 block of Maidstone Branch Road, Dover, were in possession of a 9mm handgun, 11 rounds of ammunition and three Xanax pills; Miller also was wanted on an armed robbery warrant out of Milton, McKeown said.
Both were charged with possession of a firearm by person prohibited, possession of ammunition by person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a deadly weapon with a controlled substance, second-degree conspiracy, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
Miller was jailed at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, in default of a $25,000 secured bond. Campbell was incarcerated at the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution, New Castle, in default of a $7,250 secured bond.
