  • Suspect sought in Long Neck convenient store robbery

  • Police are searching for a suspect in the Oct. 15 robbery of Uncle Willie’s convenient store in the Long Neck area.
    According to the Delaware State Police, the incident occurred at about 9 p.m. as a male suspect armed with a knife entered the store, located on Long Neck Road, and demanded money from a 23-year-old female employee at the counter. Police said the employee complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes before the suspect fled the store on foot in an unknown direction. Police said there were no injuries as a result of this incident.
    Police said the man is described as white, between the ages of 20 and 30, between 5 foot 6 inches and 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighing between 130 and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a navy blue sweatshirt, a green flat brimmed hat, grey sweatpants, dark full-frame glasses, black gloves and white sneakers.
