  • Two Delaware State Parks in Sussex County are hosting fall events that offer families the opportunity to try something unique while enjoying fall scenery.
    Cape Henlopen State Park will hold its 25th Annual Children’s Fantasy Trail the weekend of Oct. 25. Children are encouraged to wear a Halloween costume to trick-or-treat for candy and toys with their favorite storybook character. There will be entertainment under the tent each night to include singing, juggling, magic and more. The cost is $5 per person for adults and children. To make a reservation, call (302) 645-6852.
    Delaware Seashore State Park will hold its first-ever Lighthouse Weekend Package Nov. 16 and Nov. 17. Participants will explore and learn more about Delaware’s historic lighthouses and life-saving stations. Included is a two-night stay at the Indian River Inlet cottages, with tours and presentations hosted by Friends of Fenwick Lighthouse, Delaware River and Bay Lighthouse Foundation, the Lightship Overfalls and the Indian River Life-Saving Station. Breakfast and lunch are included. Pre-register by Nov. 2. Participants must be ages 12 and older. The cost is $235 per cottage rental and $55 per person. Call (302) 227-6991.
