  • A 52-year-old Seaford man was cited for inattentive driving after police said he caused a Nov. 7 school bus crash at the intersection of Roxana and Polly Branch roads in Selbyville.
According to the Delaware State Police, the incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. as William E. Clark, 67, of Frankford, was operating a 2011 Blue Bird school bus for the Indian River School District northbound on Roxana Road preparing to turn right onto Polly Branch Road. Police said as the school bus slowed and turned on the right turn signal, a 1995 Jeep Wrangler operated by John R. Riebel failed to notice the bus slowing and ran into the rear bumper.
Police said Riebel was transported to Atlantic General Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. He was cited for inattentive driving. Clark and the seven students, ranging in age from four to five years old, were not injured.
