  • A 57-year-old Georgetown man was arrested Nov. 15 for multiple weapons violations during a routine check of deer hunters in Redden State Forest.
According to the Delaware Department of Natural Resources Police, Bruce A. Taylor was arrested and charged with 13 counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and one count possession of ammunition by a person prohibited. Police said 13 weapons were seized as evidence. Taylor was released on $7,000 unsecured bond pending trial at a later date.
Police said Taylor has a prior felony conviction, which means he is prohibited from owning or possessing weapons, including all firearms and any type of bow. Police said some hunters with a past felony on their records may not understand they cannot legally go hunting with a firearm or bow.
