  • Police investigate Seaford home invasion

  • The Delaware State Police is investigating a Nov. 20 home invasion that occurred east of Seaford.
    Police said troopers responded to the 24000 block of Jewell Street around 10:45 p.m. after a 911 call was placed stating two men had just broken into the home. Police said the suspects forcibly entered the front door to the home and confronted three victims – a 31-year-old man, a 23-year-old woman and a 17-month-old girl – in the living room with handguns. Police said the suspects demanded money from the male victim and began striking him in the head with a pistol before fleeing the residence in an unknown direction without any money or items. Police said the male victim was slightly injured and was transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.
    The suspects are described as two black males wearing dark colored clothing, black masks and gloves. They were armed with unknown types of handguns.
