An additional stop sign and other warning signs will be added to the existing four-legged intersection of Daisey Road and Lynch Road/Main Street in Gumboro, according to the Delaware Department of Transportation.
Officials say the stop sign installation is scheduled for Dec. 4 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
DelDOT’s Traffic Study Section determined that visibility of oncoming traffic from Daisey Road eastbound is blocked for motorists on Main Street northbound. Motorists on Daisey Road eastbound will now be required to stop so that traffic on all four approaches can safely proceed through the intersection. A stop line will also be added on the eastbound Daisey Road approach.
Officials say message boards will be placed in the area to alert motorists of the new traffic pattern.
