The Delaware Breast Coalition has announced that staff member Cheryl Doucette was honored with an Adult Literary Award at the Office of Women's Health Healthy Living Celebration on Dec. 12.
Doucette is the outreach and education program manager in Kent County and is responsible for educating women and men in regard to breast health and mammography screening.
Community members and event partners gathered at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover to celebrate healthy women by listening to presentations and recognizing contest award winners. Participants were asked to depict "what is a healthy woman". Entries were divided into four categories: youth two dimensional art, adult two dimensional art, youth literary art, and adult literary art. Five judges from the Division of Public Health reviewed the work and selected winners. Cheryl was one of 24 winners chosen and one of eight in the category of Adult Literary. Four grand prize winners received a free year membership to the Delaware Art Museum.
