  • CHEER and the University of Delaware presents the health care education lecture series, Understanding Nerve Damage Related to Diabetes on Dec. 18.
    The event will begin at 11 a.m. at the CHEER Community Center on Route 9, 20520 Sand Hill Road, Georgetown. Professor Ralene Maser of the department of medical laboratory sciences at the University of Delaware will address a complication of diabetes known as neuropathy.
    Maser's work focuses on measuring nerve function and searching for potential treatments for nerve dysfunction.
    The workshop is open to the general public and is free of charge.
