  • The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Division of Energy and Climate has learned of at least three recent reports handled by the Delaware State Police and New Castle County Police regarding a person or persons knocking on doors in Sussex and New Castle counties claiming to represent the state and asking questions about residents’ energy bills and electric consumption.
Rob Underwood, program administrator for the Division of Energy and Climate, said his department does not have staff engaged in any door-to-door survey activities of any kind anywhere in the state. Underwood said DNREC encourages residents visited by any such persons to give out no information and to report the incident to the DSP or to a local municipal police department.
