  • Man injured in Millsboro home invasion

  • A 33-year-old Millsboro man was sent to the hospital Dec. 26 after he was struck in the head with a handgun during a home invasion.

  • A 33-year-old Millsboro man was sent to the hospital Dec. 26 after he was struck in the head with a handgun during a home invasion.
    According to the Delaware State Police, troopers responded to the 31000 block of Careys Drive around 7:55 p.m. for a reported home invasion. Police said four men reportedly entered the front door of the home and confronted the 33-year-old victim and another 41-year-old man in the living room. Police said the suspects pointed handguns at the victims and demanded they empty their pockets. Police said the victims complied, turning over an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and a cell phone before one of the suspects struck the 33-year-old man in the head with a gun. Police said the four suspects then fled the residence in an unknown direction. The injured victim was transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released. Police said the 41-year-old victim was not injured.
    Police said there are no physical or clothing descriptions available for the four suspects.
