  • Police are searching for two suspects in a Dec. 26 home invasion robbery in Seaford.
According to the Delaware State Police, troopers responded to the 22000 block of Hearns Pond Road around 11:25 p.m. after a 911 call was placed from the residence stating a man had just broken into the house. Police said a male subject had forcibly entered the front door of the home and confronted a 40-year-old woman in her bedroom. The victim told police the man pointed a small handgun at her and told her not to move. The victim said the man then ran from the bedroom and within minutes left the home and was heard talking to another man outside. Police said it was later determined the man had removed an undisclosed amount of cash from a 21-year-old man’s room, who was not in the house at the time, before fleeing. The 40-year-old woman and an 18-year-old woman sleeping in a separate bedroom were uninjured in the incident.
The victim told police the man who entered the home was wearing a black mask, black hat and all black clothing and was armed with an unknown type of handgun. There is no physical or clothing description available for the other man heard outside of the home.
