Regardless of how stellar or lackluster your 2013 was, we're all going to have to leave it in the past and step into 2014 when the clock strikes midnight on Jan. 1.

To end this year on a high note, we've compiled a list of three celebrations in Sussex County where you can ring in 2014, with each event offering yummy food and good music.

And remember, it's OK to indulge in good food and gain a few extra pounds on New Year's Eve. After all, you'll have a chance to redeem yourself after the celebration by creating a New Year's resolution, and sticking to it.

The first course on the "beef-tastic" menu will feature beef consommé with oxtail ravioli and micro greens (paired with American Beauty). In keeping with the night's theme, none other than The Bullbuckers will grace the stage. The Bullbuckers are a brass band with island-rooted dance grooves influenced by American and Caribbean music, as well as soul and rock 'n' roll.
