A Jan. 3 fire in an apartment building on W. Church Street in Selbyville caused $150,000 in damages and displaced 20 people.

According to the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office, the blaze occurred around 3 p.m. With the assistance of neighboring fire companies, the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company extinguished the flames.

State fire investigators have yet to determine the origin and cause of the fire. There were no reported injuries. Seven apartment units received varying degrees of damage.
