  • Junior firefighters charged in Rehoboth arson

  • Two teenage boys who are members of the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company were arrested Jan. 10 after they allegedly set fire to a mobile home in the 500 block of South Drive in Tru Vale Acres.

  • Two teenage boys who are members of the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company were arrested Jan. 10 after they allegedly set fire to a mobile home in the 500 block of South Drive in Tru Vale Acres.
    According to the Delaware State Fire Marshall’s office, the fire was set just before 4:30 a.m. and fire crews found the unoccupied dwelling engulfed in flames. The damage was estimated at $10,000 and there were no reported injuries. It was determined the fire was set intentionally.
    The boys were each charged with second degree arson, third degree burglary and second degree conspiracy. The two were committed to Stevenson House Detention Center in Milford, each in lieu of $3,500 secured bond.
