The second annual Indoor Winter Golf Clinic, part of the Walt Jones Memorial Project, will be held on Feb. 1 to benefit Sussex County Habitat for Humanity.
The event will be held at Delmarva Christian High School, 21777 Sussex Pines Road in Georgetown, and sessions will run from 9 to 11 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. Six local PGA professionals will teach rotating groups of six to seven participants. Attendance is limited to 40 players per session. The professionals will focus on pitching, putting and driving, with a special breakout session for younger players ages 8 to 18. The event is open to beginners, semi pros, men, women and youth. The cost is $30 for adults and $20 for children over the age of 8. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All participants should bring their own golf clubs.
A raffle will be held with prizes from several local pro-shops and golf clubs. Golf wear and equipment from Ruddo’s Golf and other local pro-shops will be on display.
