A local legend in the dance community, Brian Wells, has re-invented himself in another creative genre, singing and songwriting.

For more than 25 years, Brian's Starliters Dance Studio has provided the finest instruction in both the American and international styles of ballroom and Latin dancing. He holds court at DuPont Country Club and Aldersgate Methodist Church, among other venues and has taught hundreds if not thousands in every dance move imaginable (save perhaps for break dancing)! Brian travels nationally to give dance seminars.

Five years ago Brian set out on another path; composing and singing his own songs. With the passion and drive he expresses on the parquet floor, his success in this new arena led to an invitation to the Grammies in LA only two months ago.

His songs are poems of his personal journey through pain, loss, joy and love. (As composer George Gershwin famously said "Without love, brother, we'd be out of business!")

Brian's most recent credits:

Song of the Year, Country Music Semi-Finalist Award in 2013 for “This is Our Great Country” Song of the Year, Christian Music Song Runner Up in 2013 for “I’ll Follow His Light” Song of the Year Honorable Mention in 2012 for “Brother How I Miss You”. Reached #5 on Australian Christian Indie charts in February 2012.

Selected song "My Brothers and Me" by Paramount Music Group Nashville, TN for the "Catch a Rising Star" cd compilation for top demo songs 2011.

Voted #1 Country Rock song at song competition for Alabama Publishing Company 2009 for “Couch Talking".

Voted #1 Love Song at song competition for Alabama Publishing Company 2008 for “Hold Me Close While We Dance”.

Best New Up and Coming Songwriters competition Nashville, TN 2007 for “My Best Friend”

Aisle Say's favorite is "If I Could Die A Hero", a song of inspiration that honors all of those brave individuals who have put and continue to put their own lives on the line to save others.

He plays either acoustic or with a backup band and is seeking gigs. In fact, Brian will be bringing both of these titanic talents to Arden's Candlelight Theatre on 17 May for a fund raiser for Heart In The Game which offers free ECG screening throughout Delaware for middle and high school students. The Starliters group will perform a program of their various dances followed by Brian in a set of his most popular tunes.
