The Spanish immersion program gives young learners the opportunity to acquire a second language in a developmentally-appropriate format. Kindergarten students will spend half of each school day learning in English and the other half learning in Spanish.
Students selected for the program will be eligible to continue in the immersion program through fifth grade at both schools. They will have the opportunity to continue Spanish instruction at the middle and high school levels.
School Choice applications must be submitted by May 16. Students will be selected according to the criteria determined by the State of Delaware and specified in the district policy JECC-A, which can be found at irsd.net.
