The Delaware State Fair announced its 2017 entertainment lineup tonight, featuring concerts, a comedian, a craft beer festival, monster trucks, a demolition derby and harness racing

Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker and Brantley Gilbert highlight the 2017 Delaware State Fair grandstand entertainment which was announced this evening.

"I believe our concert fans are going to love the lineup we have put together this year," said State Fair Assistant General Manager Danny Aguilar. "We are looking forward to producing an unforgettable 2017 Summer Concert Series at the M&T Bank Grandstand."

Other headliners include John Pardi, Christian rocker Crowder, a 70s rock night at the Craft Beer Festival with Foghat and Pure Prairie League, and comedian Gabriel Iglesias. The grandstand entertainment will also feature a monster truck show, demolition derby, harness racing and a rodeo.

Advance tickets for fair admission and grandstand events will go on sale Friday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m., and can be purchased online at www.delawarestatefair.com, or by calling eTix at 1-800-514-3849.

Kick-off concert with John Pardi July 19

Returning in 2017 for its second year will be the Delaware State Fair Kick-off Concert on Wednesday, July 19 at 7:30 p.m., featuring throwback country music singer Jon Pardi with Chris Lane. Pardi is known for his working-man spirit and traditional style of country music. While gate admission will not be required, no carnival rides, livestock barns, or other fair attractions will be open yet. Some food vendors will be open. Tickets for the concert are $31-$66.

Rodeo July 20

Thursday, July 20 features the return of the Painted Pony PRCA Rodeo to the M&T Bank Grandstand as the fairgrounds officially open. The rodeo will bring the best cowboys and cowgirls around for some roping, riding and racing at 7 p.m. Tickets are just $10 each.

Monster Truck Meltdown July 21

The first Friday of the fair will showcase the Monster Truck Meltdown presented by the Delaware Volunteer Firefighters Association July 21 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18-$20. The show will include nationally-recognized monster trucks, a ride truck and a tough truck challenge. Along with the event there will be a Pit Party where fans can come meet the drivers, take a picture with the trucks and more. Tickets for the Pit Party will be available closer to the start of the fair, and details will be posted online at www.delawarestatefair.com.

Craft Beer Festival featuring 'Rock of the 70s'

The Craft Beer Festival has moved to the first Saturday of the fair, July 22. The evening will include a relaxed atmosphere, delectable brews and entertainment featuring a "Rock of the 70s" theme with Foghat, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Pure Prairie League, Pat Travers Band and Rare Earth. Welcomed by Cool 101.3 and 97.1 The Wave, this lineup gathers Grammy Award-winning artists with over 20 top-10 hits like “Slow Ride,” “So Into You,” “Amie,” and “I Just Want To Celebrate."

The craft beer tasting will feature over 50 varieties of beer. Craft beer tickets are $45 and include access to the concert, a souvenir cup and five beer tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets will be $2 each. Craft beer ticket holders must be 21 years or older.

Music-only tickets are $35.

Gates will open and craft beer tasting will begin at 6 p.m., with the show at 6:30 p.m. Last call will be at 8:15 p.m., with a fireworks display presented by M&T Bank at about 9 p.m.

Darius Rucker July 23

Froggy 99.9 and 94.7 WDSD will welcome Darius Rucker on Sunday, July 23. The former lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish is now known for his solo southern-style hits like “Wagon Wheel,” “Homegrown Honey” and “Alright." Gates will open at 6:30 p.m., with the show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $44-$84.

Comedian Gabriel Iglesias July 24

Monday, July 24 will bring laughter and fun to the fair as one of America’s most successful stand-up comedians, Gabriel Iglesias, also known as “FLUFFY,” celebrates 20 years of comedy. Performing to sold-out concerts around the world and being one of the few comedians to headline and sellout Madison Square Garden in New York, Iglesias has made his mark on the comedy business over the last two decades. Tickets are $32-$42. Gates will open at 7 p.m., and the show will begin at 8 p.m.

Rascal Flatts July 25

With over 22 million albums sold, 28 million digital downloads and 16 number-one singles, the multi-platinum trio Rascal Flatts headlines the M&T Bank Grandstand Tuesday, July 25. Their hits include “These Days,” “Bless the Broken Road,” “What Hurts the Most,” “My Wish” and their newest release “Yours If You Want It!” Gates open at 6:30 p.m., with the show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $54-$89.

Christian rocker Crowder July 26

Christian chart-topping artist Crowder rocks the M&T Bank Grandstand with Big Daddy Weave on Wednesday, July 26, presented by 88.7 the Bridge. The evening of fun and worship will feature songs like “Come As You Are” and “Redeemed.” Tickets are $25-$50. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will start at 7:30 p.m.

Harness racing July 27

Harrington Raceway & Casino presents harness horse racing on Thursday, July 27 at 7 p.m. Come watch harness racing at no charge and celebrate Governor’s Day at the fair.

Demolition Derby July 28

On Friday, July 28, the M&T Bank Grandstand is the place to see all your car-smashing fun at the Demolition Derby presented by Manlove Auto Parts. Last year’s event brought a packed grandstand. The smashing and crashing will begin at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $17-$19. Brantley Gilbert with Luke Combs July 29

Get ready “BG Nation”-- the man is back! Brantley Gilbert returns with Luke Combs to the M&T Bank Grandstand on Saturday, July 29. The pair will bring their strong southern roots to Harrington for an evening of unforgettable country music and a little southern rock on the last night of the fair. With knockout songs like “Bottoms Up,” “One Hell of An Amen” and the 2017 release of “The Weekend,” Gilbert will once again make his mark on the fair. Tickets are $44-$84. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., with the show at 7:30 p.m. and a fireworks display presented by M&T Bank at 9:30 p.m.

VIP packages available

For fans seeking the ultimate VIP experience, the Delaware State Fair VIP Package will be available for six of this year’s concerts.
