The search is on for Mrs. Sussex County and Mrs. Georgetown to represent the communities in the 2010 Mrs. Delaware Pageant on January 30, 2010 in Rehoboth Beach. The 2010 winner of the state pageant will win all expense paid trip to represent The First State in the nationally televised Mrs. America Pageant and a prize package valued at over $6,000.
The Mrs. America Pageant system is the most prestigious and well-known pageant system for married women in the world. The areas of competition are swimsuit, evening gown and personal interview. No performing talent is required. Mrs. Delaware 2010 will have the opportunity to make public appearances throughout the state and be a role model for married women. The reigning Mrs. Delaware 2009 is Cacia Batts, of Middletown. Applicants must be 18 years of age and a resident of the state of Delaware.
