Event Highlights

What is it? Peninsula Homes, located on U.S. 113 between Georgetown and Millsboro, is a modular homes dealer. Owned by Sussex Central graduates Eddie Ghabor and Jamie Donaway, the business is aimed at selling homes at an attractive price point in the area.

How do we use it? Just stop by, Peninsula Homes has just about everything you need on site. Including a realtor, a model home, over 100 different variations of modular homes to choose from and more, the only thing you need to come with is the desire to purchase a new home. Turnaround time on a house once purchased is generally six to eight weeks.

What are the business hours? Peninsula Homes is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why should you visit? “Everyone’s dream is still to own their own home,” Ghabor said. “Right now is a great time to buy a new house with the attractive interest rates. In fact, a lot of people who are renting are finding out that buying a home is actually cheaper for them. And eventually, once banks start lending more money, I think we’ll see even more renters looking to buy a home.”

What other incentives are offered? Peninsula Homes is willing to pay the electric bill of its first five homebuyers for 12 months. “Utilities are often a major concern in today’s economy,” Ghabor said. “Our houses are all energy efficient, we’re totally green. That said, we thought it would be a nice way to show our appreciation.”
