Georgetown man wanted for prescription theft

Delaware State Police early Friday morning investigated a theft and reckless endangering complaint. The crime occurred on Moore’s Street Holiday Estates Dagsboro Delaware around 2:25 a.m.

A state police investigation revealed that Jackson Vanvorst, 30 of Georgetown, went to a residence on Moore’s St. in Holiday Estates and asked to use the residence phone. The victim is an acquaintance of the suspect and allowed him to use the phone. Vanvorst while using the phone took a bottle of Oxycodone from a nightstand in the victim’s bedroom. After obtaining the prescription medication Vanvorst ran from the residence and entered a dark colored vehicle. 

The dark colored vehicle (no further description) was being driven by a white female (NFD). The victim attempted to stop Vanvorst who entered the passenger side of the vehicle. When the victim got to the car the female operator put the vehicle in reverse running over the victim’s foot. 

The victim did not require medical treatment. Delaware State Police obtained arrest warrants for Vanvorst for the charges of obtaining a controlled substance by theft.   State Police are still attempting to identify the female operator in this investigation.
