NELLIE M. HUDSON
Nellie M. Hudson, 95, of Dagsboro, formerly of Ocean View, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday February 23, 2009.

She was born in Roxana, daughter of the late, Vernon and Ethel (Lynch) Hudson.

She and her late husband Stanley operated a Poultry Farm in Ocean View, where Nellie lived for over 59 years. She was a long time member of the Dagsboro Church of Christ.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley G. Hudson in 1967.

Hudson is survived by her daughter, Carolyn H. Hall and her husband David of Dagsboro; three grandchildren, Dr. Bethany Hall Long of Middletown, Don S. Hall and his wife Lisa of Dagsboro, Dean A. Hall of Dagsboro; three great-grandchildren, John R. Hall of Dagsboro, Brock Long of Middletown, Hunter Ray Hall of Dagsboro.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 27, at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Frankford.

Burial in Carey’s Cemetery in Frankford.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in Nellie’s memory to, Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE. 19963 or Dagsboro Church of Christ, 28001 Dagsboro Rd, Dagsboro, DE. 19939.

PAULINE M. REVEL (NEE MARSH)
Pauline M. Revel (nee Marsh), 85, of Millsboro, went Home to Heaven Monday, February 23, 2009.

She was born December 10, 1923 in Lewes, the eldest of four children to Charles A. and Naomi Marsh, who, along with her brother Joseph, have been waiting for her in Heaven.

Revel graduated from the Beebe School of Nursing in 1944 and served as a registered nurse for nearly 20 years. In 1946, on the shortest day of the year, Pauline Marsh married John Revel, a dedicated farmer and lay evangelist. Together they served their family and community for 45 years until John’s passing in 1991.

She is survived by her children, Patricia and spouse Rev. David Landers of Clearwater, FL, J. Byron and spouse Dr. Pamela Revel of Nicholasville, KY, and Lisa and spouse Richard A. Carmean of Milford; grandchildren, Jason and Lisa Landers, Nathan Landers, Kara, Anna and Marsha Revel, Ryan and Jonathan Graham, Chris and Brianne Carmean; great-grandchildren, Rachel Landers, Dylan Graham, Owen Carmean and Jaden Williams; brothers Willard Marsh, Frank Marsh and his daughter Louise; sister, Joan and spouse Charles L. Baker and their son and daughter-in-law Mark and Laurie Baker. She was also blessed by many loving nieces, nephews and faithful friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 28, at the Melson Funeral Services on Long Neck Road in Millsboro.

PAULINE M. REVEL (NEE MARSH)
Pauline M. Revel (nee Marsh), 85, of Millsboro, went Home to Heaven Monday, February 23, 2009.

HOWARD MILTON “BUD” WOLFE, SR.
Howard Milton “Bud” Wolfe, Sr., 70, of Georgetown, died Thursday, February 26, 2009, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford.

Wolfe was born in Racine, Ohio, the son of the late Kenneth Jacob and Anna (Ours) Wolfe.

He was retired from the University of Delaware, Research and Education Center after almost 31 years as a Senior Maintenance Technician.

He enjoyed buying cars and fixing them up to sell. He was a handyman and could fix anything.  He loved his family and enjoyed being outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Howard M. Wolfe, Jr. in 1986.

He is survived by his wife Mary R. (Mills) Wolfe; daughter, Diane Cowell and her husband Ric of Milford; daughter-in-law, Christine Wolfe of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Carrie Sterling, Nikki Watson, Sarah Wolfe and Dana Betts; three great grandchildren, Shelby Sterling, Megan Sterling, and Morgan Watson; brothers, Eugene Wolfe of Pa., Carl Marlin and Benny Wolfe of Ohio; sisters, Eileen Tritt of Pa., Ruth Ann Graham and Penny Hart and her husband Gary of Ohio.

Graveside services was held Monday, March 2, at Asbury U.M. Church Cemetery, Laurel-Georgetown Hwy, Georgetown.

JOSEPH C. MCCOURT
Joseph C. McCourt, 80, of Ocean View, formerly of Newtown, CT, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 at the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.

He was born in Jersey City, NJ, son of the late, Joseph and Marie (Dunne) McCourt.

He served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. McCourt worked for Union Carbide/First Brands Corporation in Danbury, CT, retiring in 1997.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and spent his lifetime in civic and church leadership roles. 

McCourt was active in the executive board of the Savannahs Landing Home Owner’s Association serving as past president and currently serving as chairman of the architectural board.  He was also a lifetime member of VFW Post 7234 at Quillen’s Point in Ocean View and a member of the Marine Corps League. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Joan (Regan) McCourt; six children, Kevin J. McCourt of Ocean View, Susan Zemzicki and her husband John E. Jr., of Toms River, NJ, Joseph P. McCourt and his wife Jill of Bethel, CT, Karen Sheridan and her husband Bernard of Tolland, CT, Mary Saia and her husband Anthony of Jamestown, NC and Brian McCourt and his wife Jennifer of Raleigh, NC; 21 grandchildren and one great grandson. 

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Bethany Beach. 

Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro. 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in Joseph’s name to your local hospice.

MELVIN MILES TINDALL
Melvin Miles Tindall, 95, of Millsboro, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 at Atlantic Shores Nursing Home in Millsboro.

He was born in Laurel, son of the late John Miles Tindall and Essie (Hearn) Tindall.

Tindall served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was co- owner of  Eastern Shore Amusements, Inc. He was a long time member of American Legion Post#19 of Laurel, AmVets of Long Neck, and the Lewes and Seaford Moose Lodges.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette (Truitt) Tindall and five brothers.

He is survived by his nieces, Charlotte Schneebeli and Margaret T. Hudson; two great nephews, Jeffrey and Gregory Hudson; four great-great nephews, Joshua, Andrew, Philip and Daniel Hudson; and great-great niece, Amanda Hudson.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, March 3, at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Long Neck.

Burial with Military Honors will be at Parsons Cemetery, 912 N. Division St, Salisbury, MD. 21801.
