The Long Neck Business Association will be remembering its founders this week.

The LNBA membership is holding a dedication for a memorial wall at Palmer’s Shopping Center on Long Neck Road. The wall includes plaques honoring the association’s founding members who have passed away.

“The Long Neck Business Association wanted to do something to remember the people who helped start the LNBA,” association secretary Fran Bruce said Monday.

Past presidents, members and officers are included on the wall, and a memorial bench also marks the site.

Honorees include: James L. Palmer, Audrey J. Palmer, Charles Goepel, Roberta McWilliams, James Cressan, Sherry Dukes, Royce Strafford, Mr. and Mrs. Harold B. Short, George Scott, Robert Willey, Ronald White and Craig Anderson.

A dedication and reception will be held for family of those being remembered and current LNBA members at 5 p.m. on June 16. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to 934-6777 by June 13.
