Sussex County Habitat for Humanity (SCHFH) will host a brown bag lunch to honor Shannon Baines of Habitat International’s Global Village on Wednesday, March 24 from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Georgetown.

Baines, the Global Village and Special Events Manager of Habitat Guatemala, will speak following the lunch on Habitat for Humanity’s efforts in Guatemala.  She will explain how each of us can make a difference in the lives of others and how you can support Habitat’s programs.  She will touch on the teams of volunteers who travel to Guatemala to engage in life-changing experiences by doing hard labor with simple tools side by side with partner families. Habitat Guatemala is SCHFH’s partner under Habitat for Humanity International’s tithe partner program, and has helped build 24 homes since 1991.

To attend the brown bag luncheon, please call or e-mail Nancy Greene at 302-855-1153 ext. 205 or nancy@sussexcountyhabitat.org.  All are welcome to hear Shannon speak about the efforts of Habitat Guatemala.
