Airmen receive flying hour awards during National Guard event

Senior Master Sgt. John R. Quigley and Master Sgt. James D. Godby were awarded honors for their flying records at a ceremony on Oct. 14 at Wing HQ in New Castle.

Quigley was an Air National guard C-130 aircraft flight engineer and combat veteran of Desert Shield and Desert Storm. The Frankford resident received the Military Aircraft Command Individual Flying-Hour Milestone Award for having "15,000 mishap-free hours," according to a press release. He received the award from 166th Airlift Wing Commander Col. Jonathan Groff at the 16th annual Delaware Air National Guard Retirees' Breakfast.

Godby reached a similar milestone, 10,000 mishap-free hours, last month. He was recognized with the Air Mobility Command award. He is an instructor loadmaster and current member of the 142nd Airlift Squadron.
