The 2012 Thomas Winnberg Scholarship, a $400 bookstore credit offered by the Irish Society of Delmarva, is now available.
The scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors in Kent and Sussex counties who plan to go on to post-secondary education.
To be considered for the scholarship, students must have strong academic performance, participate in extra-curricular activities and the community, and write an essay detailing their academic goals for the upcoming school year.
Applications can be requested directly from ISOD by emailing jpl61@verizon.net with ISOD scholarship in the subject line, or they can be picked up in high school guidance offices.
All requests for applications must include the student's name, address, number and the name of their high school. Applications must be received by May 19.
