“Body Slamming ALS,” a wrestling event and Lou Gherig’s disease fundraiser, is set for 7 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company, 7 Main St.

Ten Mile Miracle, a charity started by businessman Tim Hill, is partnering with United Wrestling Alliance for the event, which will feature wrestling matches and an appearance by WWE Hall-of-Famer Tito Santana. Organizer and ALS patient Hill will participate in the battle royale match.

Hill was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in 2014 and set himself on a mission to help other people who were diagnosed with the neurodegenerative disease.

TMM provides ALS patients on Delmarva with medical equipment and supplies.

Tickets are $20 general admission, $5 children 10 years and younger.
