Four area women — LaShawn Draper, Kathryn Cieniewicz, Ariel Neumann and Adriana Pizzadili — received grants for continuing education from PEO International.
Each woman was sponsored by PEO Chapter L, Lewes.
The grants assisted these women in reaching their educational goals.
Draper earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice; Cieniewicz is a licensed physical therapist and completed course work to become a certified environmental access consultant; Neumann is pursuing a master’s degree in educational reform at Brown University; and Pizzadili has become a school psychologist after earning her master’s degree at Towson University.
The PEO Sisterhood, founded January 21, 1869, at Iowa Wesleyan College, Mount Pleasant, Iowa, is a philanthropic and educational organization interested in bringing to women increased opportunities for higher education.
