Douglas McHolder, 34, is wanted.

The Delaware Department of Correction is searching for an offender that absconded from the Sussex Community Corrections Center in Georgetown after willfully failing to return from an approved work pass on Thursday, August 3.

Douglas McHolder, a 34-year-old black male, was serving time for a violation of probation on a charge of aggravated menacing when he absconded. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds with brown eyes and hair. He has scars on his abdomen and forehead and tattoos on his arms. McHolder's last known address was in Seaford.

Community corrections centers are Level 4 facilities where the Department of Correction manages offenders who are transitioning back into the community. These centers are not secured like Level 5 prisons, as offenders are permitted to the leave the facility to go to work, seek jobs or attend approved treatment sessions.
