American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 is looking for community volunteers to help with a 9/11 Day of Service and remembrance to help with its service project, made possible by a grant from the American Legion Auxiliary Foundation and Corporation for National & Community Service.

The auxiliary will improve the pavilion and surrounding area at the American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 9, rain date Sept. 10. Help is needed with general cleanup, weeding and planting flowers and power washing memorial bricks, walkways and benches.

Volunteers will update lighting and have some light painting chores. Lunch will be

provided along with a free commemorative T-shirt will be available to the first 50 volunteers.
