The Halloween Historic Lewes Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 28 at Shields Elementary School, 910 Shields Ave.
Customers will find Brussels sprouts, carrots, sweet potatoes, garlic, collard greens, peppers, cauliflower, broccoli, beets, winter squashes, lettuces, apples, artisanal cheeses, mushrooms, oysters, cider, lamb, pork, jams and jellies, milk, yogurt and baked goods.
Customers are also encouraged to come to the market in costume.
To help lower economic barriers to local, healthy food, the HLFM matches up to $20 each participant each week with HLFM bonus bucks. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program participants are encouraged to come to the SNAP tent at the Market to pick up the bonus $20 in tokens to use at the Market. In addition to food stamps, the Historic Lewes Farmers Market now welcomes participants in Delaware’s Women, Infants and Children program. WIC coupons can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables through the Oct. 28 market.
