The Department of Transportation's Traffic Section will convert the present two-way stop-controlled intersection of East Trap Pond Road and Whaley’s Corner Road/West Piney Grove Road to all-way stop control Nov. 14.

In addition to the installation of applicable stop and stop ahead signs, yellow warning beacons will be used on the East Trap Pond Road signs, and red beacons will be used on the East Trap Pond Road stop signs. Motorists should anticipate lane and shoulder closures at the intersection from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Nov. 14.

Motorists are encouraged to be aware that construction personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to the travel lanes.

Variable message boards are posted to advise motorists of the new traffic pattern.
